Kennst du deine Blutgruppe? Do you know your blood type?🔬
In our German science class, biologie, Grade 8 explored the different blood groups and then carried out their own experiment to find out their blood type in minutes. Using testing kits, they carefully set up their tools, carried out each step of the process, and analyzed their results to discover if they were A, B, or O.
Reading is better together! 📚
Our 5th grade and 1st grade "reading buddies" meet up to read stories together throughout the year. This gives older students a chance to flex their reading muscles while the younger students can aspire to read like the big kids. We also love how this creates cross grade relationships and care in our school community.

Eid Mubarak! Our classrooms were filled with joy as parents joined us as special guests to share the meaning of Ramadan and the traditions that make this time so special. From teaching us a sun and moon dance to sharing how their families celebrate, moments like these help our students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultures. 🌙✨
Whether following lines with scissors or stacking blocks, these little hands are building big skills! Everyday activities help our youngest learners strengthen hand-eye coordination, foster collaboration, and let each child’s imagination flourish. 🔎

One thing all of our students love? BOOKS! 📚
Over the past week, our annual trilingual Book Fair gave students the chance to discover graphic novels, non-fiction, and everything in between. It was incredible to see students exchanging recommendations and debating their wishlists in English, Spanish, and German.
We were also thrilled to welcome a very special guest, author @karinaisreadingandwriting, who spoke with our students about her journey as a writer of The Nine Moons of Han Yu and The Vanderbeekers series, and led a workshop on creating authentic characters.
A heartfelt thank you to Erin Clarke for providing dumplings for our students, @chaulunabooksny for sharing their Spanish-language books, and our amazing PA for bringing it all together and organizing such a wonderful event for our school community!

4 choreographies. 4 teams. 🤸♂️✨
As part of our acrobatics unit in PE, students became choreographers, teammates, spotters, and performers.
From first balances to full sequences, this is what weeks of teamwork, courage, and creativity looks like!

Our preschoolers transformed into mini marine biologists in their classroom with the help of the @nyaquarium. 🐚
They explored what the ocean is, what lives there, and some of the unique features of marine animals. Students learned about sea otters and even had the opportunity to get hands-on with seashells and a horseshoe crab!

Our students wowed us at the Annual Science Fair! After months of research and experiments on everything from quail behavior to brain tumor treatments and the effectiveness of skincare, students presented their hypotheses, data, and conclusions. Families and their classmates had the opportunity to explore each project, analyze their findings and ask questions.
A panel of judges, made up of parents and teachers, evaluated students on their use of the scientific method and presentation skills. It was a tough competition, and we’re incredibly proud of all our young scientists! Our winners were celebrated with lab coats and medals for their outstanding projects!
