We started our day off with live music thanks to the Jazz Discovery Program. Our students experienced firsthand the energy and creativity that highly talented musicians bring to the stage. 🎹🎸🥁🪈🎶 Through rhythm, improvisation and a variety of instruments, they explored a rich American musical tradition and discovered how music connects us all. We’re thrilled to share a major milestone at GSB 🎉 Starting Fall 2027, we’re launching a Spanish Immersion Middle School track designed for both beginners and experienced Spanish learners. From day one, students will engage in daily Spanish instruction to build confidence and communication skills throughout their middle school years. 🌎 This Earth Day, our students took meaningful action to better understand what it means to care for their community and the world around them. At school, they transformed shredded office paper into new sheets to learn how materials can be reused, and took part in neighborhood cleanups to help reduce litter. Thinking beyond our school, they explored the life cycle of a plant to understand how living things grow, visited the zoo to deepen their awareness of protecting animal habitats, and engineered creative model rockets that can keep astronauts safe as they return to earth.
