Open Stage is always a highlight of the GSB year!
This fall’s show included music, dance, magic, gymnastics, and even a call to action to mitigate the effects of climate change. We applaud the courage and creativity of our students!

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, GSB students learned about the meaning and traditions behind Día de los Muertos which is celebrated today, November 1st. Over the past month, students have been adding in their own artwork and memories of their loved ones to bring our ofrenda (altar) to life.
Our Costume Day was the perfect opportunity for everyone to show off their creativity. We spotted students as dinosaurs and KPop Demon Hunters and our staff joined in as pumpkins and pirates!
Frau Wolf helped our 8th graders perform a thorough dissection of cow eyes to enhance their study of anatomy. Students practiced putting on safety equipment, followed a step-by-step dissection protocol, explored how the organs were sourced as well as preserved with the Carolina Perfect Solution.
Throughout the dissection, students were able to see how cow eyes compare to human eyes. All of our grades practice hands-on science experiments, and this is one of the students’ favorites! 🔍🥼

We were thrilled to have the new Head of Cultural Affairs at the German Consulate, Natalie Tröller, visit GSB. She spent the morning learning about our international school, observing our bilingual classrooms, and seeing how we connect culture with language throughout our curriculum.

Our student government consists of two elected class representatives per grade, along with two student representatives who serve as a voice for all students. Together, they make a meaningful impact within our school community.
Our middle school students had the opportunity to create a campaign, present their platform to their peers and await the election’s results. Congratulations to Bea in Grade 7 and Leni in Grade 8 for being elected as this year’s student representatives!
