To me, a school represents much more than just a place of learning; it is a vibrant and dynamic community. I hold a firm belief that children learn best when they are loved, challenged, and encouraged to ask the most simple and yet most complex question of all: “why?” As an educator and leader, I am passionate about creating environments that promote joy, diversity, and a deep love for learning. I strive to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues alike such that all members of the community feel seen, respected, and supported.

I hold a B.A. from Bates College in Religious Studies of the Ancient World. However upon graduating college, I quickly realized my life long passion lay in education, and pivoted my career trajectory and to obtain a MS.Ed in Early Childhood Education and Theory from Bank Street College of Education. I am currently in the process of obtaining a second graduate degree as an EdM in Progressive Education Leadership from the same institute.

Prior to joining GSB, I served in a variety of roles since 2012 as a classroom teacher, educational director, and teacher mentor, supporting educators of 2 year olds through the 5th Grade, with my primary focus being on the youngest years of child development. I have devoted my professional career to researching how the brain develops over the years and how to support each child along their own unique path to growth and success. 

When I am not teaching, I am an avid musician and lover of nature. I can often be found walking the rivers and parks of New York City, at home playing my guitar, or cuddling up on the couch with my two cats and tortoise. I am incredibly excited to launch this new chapter of my career and to bring my experiences to GSB as an Educational Leadership Fellow. I am excited to be part of the GSB community as we grow together this year.
