Community Events
We are proud to open our doors to the wider community, fostering connection through shared spaces and events. Our gym hosts youth basketball, offering young athletes a place to develop their skills and teamwork. Jewish prayer groups have celebrated important moments in our facilities, reflecting the diverse traditions of our neighborhood. Community council meetings have been held at our school, providing a space for dialogue and collaboration on local initiatives. Additionally, we have had the honor of hosting a neighborhood iftar, bringing people together during Ramadan to break fast and celebrate unity. By welcoming the community into our school, we aim to celebrate the rich diversity that defines Brooklyn.

Tacoberfest
For the past decade, our GSB school community has gathered each fall for our beloved Oktoberfest celebration, a joyful fundraiser filled with music, food, and camaraderie.
This year, with our exciting rebrand to Global School Brooklyn and the addition of our new Spanish language track, we’re reimagining the tradition as Tacoberfest—a vibrant celebration that honors our roots while embracing the diversity of our student body.
Guests can expect the same lively spirit they’ve come to love, now enriched with flavors, music, and traditions from both German- and Spanish-speaking cultures. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon that reflects the global heart of our school and help support our programs by purchasing your tickets here!

Love our space?
GSB opens its space during evenings and weekends to a variety of organizations. We believe that welcoming others to our gym, meeting area, or outdoor roof space, not only strengthens our neighborhood community ties but also breathes new life into the school.
