Kate Henriquez
Spanish Kindergarten Teacher
I was born and raised in Chile and later had the opportunity to live and work in both the United States and Spain. My teaching journey began in Minnesota, where I worked as a Spanish volunteer in an immersion school and discovered my love for teaching my native language to young learners. I later taught in bilingual schools in Chile and North Carolina, where I helped build the Spanish program for the county’s first dual language school.
I have been teaching for 12 years, always in elementary education, which has always been my favorite age group. I am passionate about bilingual education and positive education, and I believe that learning languages while helping children grow with confidence, kindness, and joy opens so many doors for their future.
In my free time, I love spending time with my cat, gardening, caring for my plants, doing crafts, visiting museums, exploring new places, and traveling.
I am so excited to bring my creativity and love for teaching to GSB in Kindergarten, and I cannot wait to meet the children and grow together as a classroom family!
