I was born in Mainz, Germany, into a family of teachers and was raised there and in the town of Detmold. My educational journey led me to pursue degrees in vocal performance, voice pedagogy, and music education in Cologne, Germany, and, as a Fulbright and DAAD scholar, in New York City, where I earned my Master’s degree from Mannes College of Music.

After completing the Opera Studio in Zurich, Switzerland, I worked as an opera singer, both as a soloist with the Theater Aachen for 8 years and as a freelance artist, traveling extensively. My international experiences have profoundly shaped my worldview and my approach to education.

In 2019, I decided to become an elementary school teacher and obtained my teaching certification from the German government. I also earned a certificate in Integrating Montessori Practice from MCI in London, UK.

Over the years, I have taught Music, Math, German, English, General Studies, Ethics, and Art in both public and private international elementary schools, always guided by a hands-on, child-centered philosophy. I believe that creativity and tactile exploration are essential to building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. My classrooms are places where curiosity is nurtured, materials are explored through all the senses, and children are empowered to engage with the world in thoughtful and imaginative ways.

As a mother of two bilingual children, both of whom also attend GSB, I know how meaningful it is to guide children through their early years with creativity, care, structure, and inspiration. I see each day as an opportunity to open windows to the world for young learners—encouraging them to think deeply, express themselves freely, and grow with confidence.

With great joy and a strong sense of connection, my family and I relocated to New York in 2025—a city where my great-grandparents once lived. I couldn’t be happier to be part of the GSB family, both as a parent and as a teacher.
