I was born in Mainz, Germany, into a family of teachers, and raised in the town of Detmold. My educational path led me to pursue a degree in music education and performance, in both Cologne, Germany, and, on a Fulbright Scholarship, in New York City, where I earned my Masters at the Mannes College of Music. This international journey has deeply shaped my worldview and my approach to education.

After living for a year in Zurich, Switzerland, and traveling through Japan for two months, I continued my career in Aachen, Germany. Over the years, I’ve taught Music, Math, German, Science, Ethics and Arts in both public and private elementary schools, always guided by a hands-on, child-centered philosophy. Having earned the certificate for Integrating Montessori Practice from MCI London, UK, I believe that creativity and tactile exploration are essential to building the foundation for lifelong learning. My classrooms are places where curiosity is nurtured, materials are explored with all the senses, and children are empowered to engage with the world in thoughtful and imaginative ways.

As a mother of two bilingual children, I know how meaningful it is to guide children through their early years with care, structure, and inspiration. I see each day as a chance to open windows to the world for young learners - encouraging them to think deeply, express themselves freely, and grow with confidence.

With great joy and a strong sense of connection, my family and I are now relocating to New York - a city where my great-grandparents once lived. I’m excited to bring my global experience, creative energy, and passion for education to the next generation of learners at GSB.
