Sophie Renners
German Preschool Assistant
I was born in Spain and moved to Germany when I was six years old, where I spent most of my childhood growing up. Being part American and part German, I have always been surrounded by different cultures, languages, and perspectives, which has shaped who I am today and given me a deep appreciation for diversity and global connection. Moving to the United States for college further expanded that experience and strengthened my interest in working within international and multicultural communities.
For the past three years, I have worked as a German preschool teacher, an experience that has truly helped me discover my passion for education and child development. I love creating meaningful connections with children and supporting their growth during such an important stage of their development. One of my college majors was Psychology, with a focus on Child Development, which has always been an area of great interest to me both academically and professionally.
What excites me most about GSB is its global and diverse environment. The school’s international community and emphasis on cultural understanding strongly resonate with my own background and values. I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to become part of such a dynamic and welcoming community and look forward to contributing both personally and professionally.
